Are your Favorite Celebs loving barre fitness?

My last blog post addressed the fantastic barre fitness fad that has taken America by storm. From barre boot camps to yoga on barres; barre fitness is the newest craze said to give long, lean, strong, and slimming results. It seems this fad has not only taken over our cities but Hollywood as well! But let’s take a step back. In 2010, director Darren Aronofsky’s film Black Swan hit theaters everywhere. Actresses Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis rocked amazing new ballerina bodies to make this film come to life. And so begun the ballet barre wild fire in Hollywood.

Hollywood is all about being in shape. Want to know what celebs are bragging about their “new bods” from barre fitness? TV talk show host, Kelly Ripa has been a big fan of barre fitness long before the film hit the big screen. She claims to be a shorter person becoming longer and leaner with every class. Her style is focused on barre fitness meeting Pilates. “It builds muscle then stretches them out!” –Kelly Ripa. What about the beloved Ginnifer Goodwin? She has been a fan of the Ballet for many years. She has often struggled to find what worked for her to get fit. And now she is a Barre Method fan. This combines small ballet movements blended into yoga and Pilates movements to sculpt and tone. And the list goes on; Natalie Portman, Madonna, Zooey Deschanel, Miranda Kerr, Lily Aldridge, and Kate Mara.

Celebrities have been raving about these top studios; Pure Barre, The Barre Method, Physique 57, and Ballet Beautiful. Hollywood’s finest chose these locations because each of these studios focuses on elements of Ballet, yoga, pilates, weight training, and barre training. Their goals are to achieve balance, strength, flexibility while getting a toned, slim, long body. The workouts are typically broken down into 8 minute sessions each focusing on different areas of the body.
We all know Madonna for her historical performances and killer body. But how is she keeping it up? For the last several months, Madonna has been training with the founder of Barre3, Sadie Lincoln. Training in Mikhail Baryshnikov’s upper westside studio, Madonna aims for a slim, toned, longer body through elements of Pilates, yoga, and barre fitness. It has been said that Madonna flies Lincoln in from Portland to New York for these sessions!

And what about one of our favorite Top Models, Miranda Kerr? Every morning throwing on her ballerina get up, Miranda stretches, extends, and elongates into a ballet body. The Ballet Beautiful method aims to give you a strong, lean center, increased flexibility, beautiful posture, and sleek ballerina muscles. Staying fit in the modeling world is very important. And what better way than to follow in the footsteps and take tips from the gorgeous Miranda Kerr!

It is great to see so many public figures enjoying staying fit and healthy in such a fun and low impact way. Ballet has been such an influence in my own life and to see it sweep the nation in this new and exciting form is fabulous to me. I find this new fad so inspiring and rejuvenating; reminding how our company can help so many people and change lives.
