    • Shipping, Returns & Warranty Policy

      Custom Barres products are handcrafted and manufactured to order. Please review the following policies carefully before placing your order.

      Made-to-Order Policy

      All barres and mounting brackets are custom made-to-order according to your specifications. Orders cannot be canceled, returned, or exchanged once production begins. All sales are final.

      If you are unsure about configuration, bracket quantity, layout, or wood selection, please contact us before placing your order at support@custombarres.com or 848-245-9464.

      Inspection & Replacement Claims

      Please inspect all products immediately upon delivery.

      Replacement claims due to shipping damage, manufacturing defects, or order errors must be submitted within 14 calendar days of delivery. Items must remain in original packaging.

      Claims submitted after 14 days or without original packaging are not eligible for replacement.

      Replacement Process

      Approved replacements due to verified damage or manufacturer error will be produced and shipped as quickly as possible. Replacement production typically requires 7–10 business days.

      To request a replacement, email:

      • Proof of purchase (name, address, invoice number)
      • Photos of original packaging
      • Photos of damaged or defective items

      If approved, a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number will be issued with return instructions. All returns require a return label issued by Custom Barres.

      Damaged or defective items must be returned within 7 business days of receiving the replacement. Failure to return within this timeframe will result in the replacement being treated as an additional purchase.

      Order Changes & Cancellations

      Orders are sent directly into production after placement and cannot be canceled or refunded. If you notice an error immediately after placing your order, contact us promptly at 848-245-9464 or support@custombarres.com.

      International Shipping & Returns

      Custom Barres ships internationally. We do not collect or charge customs duties, VAT, brokerage fees, or import taxes imposed by your country.

      Any applicable customs charges are the sole responsibility of the recipient and are typically due upon delivery. We recommend contacting your local customs office prior to placing your order to understand potential import costs.

      Due to high international shipping costs and the custom-made nature of our products, returns from outside the continental United States are not accepted.

      Limited Structural Warranty

      Custom Barres products include a one-year structural warranty from the date of purchase. If your barre or brackets are proven structurally defective within one year, we will repair or replace them at our discretion.

      This warranty applies to structural defects only and does not cover cosmetic damage, scratches, water exposure, improper installation, misuse, or normal wear and tear. The warranty is void if installation guidelines are not followed or if the Custom Barres identification label has been removed.

      Custom Barres reserves the right to update or modify this policy at any time.

      Receive 15 minutes complimentary phone consultation with members of our experienced design team. CB Specialists are available to discuss product features and gather details to create your custom ballet barre layout that meet our guidelines for maximum strength and performance. This is NOT specific to your construction conditions, as we are not licensed to give this kind of professional advise. Installation questions for special construction conditions are NOT included with this service as you would need to consult with a local licensed contractor.

      Free Quotes are limited to 3 per customer (per project). Fees apply for each additional estimate/revision. All pricing are available online for further clarification and immediate review. Drawings are accepted for visual support, but lengths still need to be confirmed and indvidually listed as Custom Barres is not a licensed architect/contractor and is not responsible for misinterpreting drawings. Drawings can be e-mailed to support@custombarres.com. Each and every barre length MUST be listed by the customer in addition to the drawings to ensure accuracy of the reading of your drawings.

      Please be advised that we cannot provide pricing and layouts based on a total linear feet, as it won't be accurate.

      Yes! You may request to schedule a call with our preferred Licensed Contractor for a Fee of $75 per hour (minimum 1 hour charge). This consultation would be answering questions specific to your construction conditions. Please contact us for availability

      Custom Barres does not offer on-site consultations, as we are a product manufacturer and not a licensed contractor/architectural/interior design firm. Please consult with a licensed professional to evaluate the construction of your space and determine the measurements and special installation needs.

      We strongly suggest hiring a professional reputable LICENSED contractor to install your barre and not installing yourself. Knowledge of building construction is highly recommended for proper installation and to ensure barre strength, stability and safety for all users.

      Custom Barres does not offer installation services. We are a product manufacturer and not a licensed contractor/architectural/interior design firm.

      Custom Barres is based in the United States and ships throughout the United States and internationally. We only ship via Fedex or our local Freight company. We Do NOT utilize third party freight services arranged by customers.

      Stainless Steel brackets would be the best choice for Hot Yoga studio as they are extremely strong and weather and rust-resistant, meaning it will not corrode as quickly as the steel due to water and exposure to high temperature. When exposed to heat Stainless Steel would be cooler in temperature than the steel brackets. It is ideal for Hot Yoga Studios, Spas and Physical Therapy.

      Spacing of the brackets depends on the main use of the barre. For BALLET we recommend spacing the brackets 48"-64" apart, and for FITNESS spacing brackets 32"-48" apart. (Exception: Core brackets require 32" to maximum of 36" spacing). For Barres over 8', a bracket must fall on the joint where barre sections connect.

      IMPORTANT! If manufacturer guidelines are not followed the warranty would be voided.

      Both brackets are well secured into the wood barre by 2 wood screws under the saddle. Open saddle will give you the ability to stretch beyond the bracket location without having the bracket in the way, which is a really nice feature, especially for Ballet. The closed saddle provide you with slightly more support and hide the seam between 2 barre sections. Both options are perfectly suited for Barre fitness and/or Ballet.

      Standard Height for Ballet: 40"-42" high (measured from floor to center of barre).
      Standard Height for Barre Fitness: 36"-38" high (measured from floor to center of barre).

      Stainless Steel Brackets - (Material - Stainless steel) The Stainless Steel is a premium material. All of Custom Barres’s brackets are available in a 304 grade stainless steel in a brushed #4 finish. It is extremely strong and weather and rust-resistant, meaning it will not corrode as quickly as the steel due to water exposure. It is ideal for Hot Yoga Studios, Spas and Physical Therapy.


      Powder Coated Brackets - (Material - Steel) Powder coats are tough, abrasion resistant finishes we apply onto the raw steel. If paint is scratched off due to damage, that spot will rust when exposed to the elements. It is not a suggested material in outdoor locations, or indoor pool/spa areas because of this natural tendency. But since most dance/fitness studios are indoor and are not exposed to extreme temperatures and water, this should not cause a problem. Powder Coatings are more affordable and available in many beautiful colors. Special colors can be quoted upon request.

      Custom Barres carry only top quality hard wood, so it really depends on your budget and the look you are looking for.

      No. Many dancers wish to leave the barre unfinished. The wood barres come well sanded and unfinished. You may wish to stain them to match your room decor and/or apply 3-4 coats of Polyurethane to preserve the beauty of the wood, and bring out the beautiful wood grain. Finishing the wood provides a seal which will make cleaning easier, as natural unfinished wood is pourous. We offer clear finish or wood stain finishes only on our ballet barre kits. The wood on our professional portable ballet barres, PRIMA and VIRTUOSO, includes CLEAR coating.

      The wood on our professional portable barres, PRIMA and VIRTUOSO, is CLEAR coated.

      Wipe the barres with baby wipes/antibacterial regularly. These wipes are just as effective on sticky barres as they are on children. If the baby wipes have not removed all the sticky residue. Mix equal parts of water and vinegar in a spray bottle, shake gently. Spray the cleaning solution directly onto the barre and wipe with a cleaning rag. Repeat as necessary until all residue has been removed. Wipe the barres clean with a damp cloth to remove any remaining residue or vinegar solution.

      Yes! All non-connecting ends will come beveled unless instructed otherwise. The beveled end creates a smooth slightly rounded finish to prevent rough edges.
      Barres over 8' in length will come pre-drilled where barre sections join to create a stronger connection.
      If you prefer the wood not beveled and/or not pre-drilled please make sure to indicate this on the special notes at checkout.

      Yes you can! With a minimum order of 25 brackets per custom design, we can manufacture brackets in height, color, or finish of your choice for an additionl fee. Please allow additional production time for custom orders. Pricing varies based on design and/or finish modifications. Please e-mail us your specifications for customization costs.
      Although we do not create custom diameters, we do offer all brackets with an option of Slim saddle that can accomodate barres 1 3/8" - 2" Diameter. Please contact us for more information.

      We design and manufacture our own products and the CB Logo is our signature. It represents our original designs and our commitment to quality. Therefore, we do not ship our products without our logo. If you choose to remove the logo label once you receive the product, please be aware that this voids the warranty.

      If you have metal studs, we strongly recommend installing backboard support.
      If installing backboard support is not an option for metal studs or if you are installing on a concrete wall, you would need to purchase special hardware to install the ballet barre brackets. Make sure to upgrade your hardware to our specialty Toggle Bolts for metal stud/hollow cinder block or Concrete Anchors for solid cement/solid cinder block.
      All brackets include hardware for installing on wood studs/ wood blocking or wood floor.

      On average, when your barre and brackets are installed as recommended, they can support 100 lbs of pressure per linear foot. In other words, the ballet barre will sufficiently support an average amount of pressure from the average weight person using an average of 2-3 ft of barre.
      The closer you space the brackets together, the stronger the support. Therefore, for fitness (which uses more than average pressure) the ideal spacing is 36” apart (and no further than 48” apart) and for ballet the ideal spacing is 42” apart (and no further than 64” apart).

      Custom Barres brackets are all made of Steel. We offer an upgrade to a 304 Stainless Steel #4 Finish.

      Custom Barres steel brackets are available in many powder coated colors including: Silver, Black, White, Red, Tiffany Blue, Light Pink, Hot Pink and Purple.
      We also offer premium finishes including Brushed Stainless Steel #4 Finish or Antique Brass plating. If you need a custom powder coating color please contact us at support@custombarres.com for availability and pricing.

      All of our barres and brackets are custom made to order. Production time is approximately 7-10 business days. We always try to ship sooner than the estimated time, but we cannot guarentee that.
      Custom or large orders may take longer. Once order is shipped it takes anywhere from 1-5 business days depending on your location. You can check estimated ground shipping time by using our shipping tool located at the bottom of our webpages (truck icon).

      All orders can be upgraded to express shipping once production is done for an additional fee. Please contact support@custombarres.com for Express shipping rates.
      Availability of our RUSH Production option is limited and must to be confirmed with our production team before the order is placed. RUSH Production requests that require less than the standard production time for your order are charged a rush fee based on the size of the order (minimum of $250) If RUSH Production availability is confirmed the order must be placed within 24 hours and must be paid in full before production begins.

      Custom Barres requires payment to begin production on orders. Special requests for a payment plan will be reviewed for approval and must be confirmed before the order is placed. The payment plan option we offer requires 50% of your total invoice to be paid to begin production and the remaining 50% is due before your order is shipped. Note - RUSH Production orders do not qualify for a payment plan.

      Yes, upon approval. Custom Barres offers financing through Paypal - 6 months no payments, no interest. This is subject to approval by Paypal.
