Our barres are made from the finest quality hardwoods and are now available with a variety of wood finishes!
Wood ballet barres are preferred by dancers, fitness instructors and rehabilitation professionals for their strength, wearability, and warmth. Used for ballet / dance / fitness / gymnastics / rehabilitation and so much more. We select, inspect, mill, and custom cut your barres from the highest quality wood sourced locally in the USA. Every barre is made-to-order in-house for the length and finish you need. Barres longer than 8’ are comprised of connecting wood sections to lower the cost of shipping. Give us a call if you need longer sections (max length 10').
At no additional charge, wooden barres will be beveled on non-connecting ends for a smooth finish (unless instructed otherwise).
IMPORTANT! All wood barres are custom made-to-order and therefore NOT Eligible For Return or Exchange and are Non-Refundable. If you aren't sure what to purchase, please give us a call to discuss; we will gladly assist you!
Select from a choice of 100% solid unfinished hardwoods (Hard Maple, Red Oak or Ash) in the strong standard barre diameter (1 5/8” ) or make a powerful visual impact with a 2” diameter barre (not available in Ash).
Unfinished wood is sanded smooth and ready to install for a splinter-free natural finish. Upgrade to a Clear Finish or Stain Finish for added luxury and wood protection. (Wood Finishes are available for an additional cost and require additional production time).
Note: Brackets are sold separately. Be sure to order brackets in the same diameter as your barre. We highly suggest purchasing the brackets from Custom Barres to ensure a perfect fit. There is an acceptance tolerance of +/- 1/32” for the wood diameter.
If you did not purchase the brackets from Custom Barres we cannot guarantee that your wood will fit in your brackets. Please make sure the inner diameter of your brackets allow for some wiggle room. Custom Barres brackets include the hardware for securing your brackets to your barre.

Ash has very good overall strength properties relative to its weight. It has excellent shock resistance. Pre-drilling is recommended when nailing and screwing.
